With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
SQL > create global temporary table jonathan (a number)
2 on commit preserve rows;
Table created.
SQL > drop table jonathan;
Table dropped.
SQL >
Interesing thing is that global temporary tables are NOT preserved in the
recycle bin.
